We set off early-ish from Ilfracombe (our friends left before us because they like to get breakfast on the road) and made our first stop at Barcaldine. Here we visited the Tree of Knowledge memorial, went to one of the bakeries (which even had a gluten free treats fridge so I could get something too!), and drove until we got to Emerald.

We went through a drive thru for lunch and went to the Emerald Botanical Gardens which had a playground which they loved so much we did the same thing the next day.

There was also so many pokestops!

We stayed at a Big 4 caravan park out on the dam in a cabin with a beautiful view.

We originally had Emerald as a bit of a rest break from driving for us, and our last days to spend with our friends, but really enjoyed the views and parks there.
