We went away to visit friends in Mt Isa, and I was planning a few blog posts on gardening in harsh climates, but our plans were derailed when Little F became unwell. We decided to take him to the local hospital where his condition became worse, and he and I were soon whisked off to Townsville via the Royal Flying Doctors Service and we finished up our holiday in a tropical, humid location.
It was a very worrying night, but he improved quickly once we were in Townsville.
We we away from home longer than planned – I’d given the plants a good water before we left and crossed my fingers for rain, but instead there was a heat wave. Ah well.
The garden is a bit over grown, a bit dry, a bit blown about. We’ll get stuck into it and see what we can save.
