I’ve been trying to work out what to do with all the weeds in my garden – I have them beat back to a minimum, but I am not sure on how to keep them down. Mulching doesn’t seem to work, putting down weed mat would stop self sowing seeds, and there’s only so much time for weeding each week. 

Instead I have decided to give up – I need to get winter plants already, it is past time. So I will buy some plants and get a lot of mulch and put it all on and see what happens. Probably lots of weeds but at least there will be some good plants in amongst it. Better something than nothing, I am thinking.
